WE ARE ONE – Part Two

By Blake Higginbotham

The Authentic vs The Fictional Man

Note: Our true identity can only be discovered through a real and living relationship with YAHSHUA the Messiah and one another. He is the pattern SON and the express image of YAHWEH.

He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:3 AMP

For it was fitting for Him, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the Author of their salvation perfect through suffering. Hebrews 2:10 MEV

“Sonship is our destiny and our inheritance is wrapped up in discovery.”

“There is nothing greater than sonship.”

For we are Yahweh’s masterpiece, created in the Messiah Yahshua to perform good actions that Yahweh prepared long ago to be our way of life. Ephesians 2:10 ISV

“We are progressively remembering who we were in creation, before formation.”
Now the Lord is the Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, seeing the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, as in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 MEV
Note: Identifying with the religion of Christianity in others does not adequately speak to the intrinsic value or corporate worth of our oneness in Him.

Together ‘To-Gather’ – into or in one gathering, company, mass, place or body

For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Romans 12:4-5 ESV

For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. For as many [of you] as were baptized into Christ [into a spiritual union and communion with Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah] have put on (clothed yourselves with) Christ.

There is [now no distinction] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26-28 AMP

WE ARE ONE – Part One

By Blake Higginbotham

The following passage of scripture is a part of the prayer that Yahshua prayed in John 17 and it speaks of His desire for us to be one in the Father and the Son. The truth is it could have been one of the last prayers that Yahshua prayed just prior to His passion and it is still being fulfilled today through the lives of those who are coming together for His greater Kingdom purpose.

In the Eternal Now His prayer is being answered by those who have chosen to embrace the Father’s heart concerning our oneness. However, our oneness will not be fully realized apart from our agreement, acknowledgment and a willingness to work together to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

John 17: 21 – that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. NASB

Ephesians 4:3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. NKJV

In order to acknowledge that we are one in the Spirit we must agree to love one another. Loving one another will involve walking in humility, patience and longsuffering. Our capacity to love one another is directly proportionate with having received the full embrace of the Father’s love and forgiveness, and we are inexorably held together by the bond of peace.

Colossians 3:12-15 Therefore, as the elect of Yahweh, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Messiah forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of Yahweh rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. NKJV

Spiritual agreement is an important part of our coming together in Him and acknowledging the reality our oneness will help move us closer to enjoying the life changing benefits of real and living relationship. However, in order to move from agreement in principal to the truly acknowledging our oneness in Him we must be willing to deal in truth with our own hearts concerning why we are divided in the first place. Based on the discovery of truth we must be willing to pull down the strongholds of human reasoning in our own hearts and minds, and that for the purpose of honestly embracing one another in the ongoing work of the ministry of Yahshua. Moving forward, true heart-felt repentance and lasting change in the way we think and interact with one another will be part of the foundation for developing lasting relationships beyond our present level of understanding.

Note: I am concerned that our move to agree with the prayer of Yahshua and fully embrace the Father’s heart concerning our unity will be limited to our own preconceived notions of how we should be together. It is my hope that we will consider all of the many possibilities available to us and come into agreement with what the Father is saying and doing in this hour. Our coming together in Him should not be limited to venues and arenas to which we have grown accustom, and our considerations should include responding to what Holy Spirit is obviously orchestrating. Forsaking not the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is involves recognizing what He is putting together in the moment. We must be willing to adjust our schedules and even forego our plans in order to embrace and respond to what He is saying and doing in the moment.

Note: If ten seconds in the presence of Yahweh is worth more than a lifetime of meeting and gathering, then it behooves all of us to aware of the reality of His movement at all times. Part of seeking the face of Yahshua will include learning to listen and being acutely aware of which direction His head is turning. Case in point, if His head is turning and looking in one direction and we insist on looking in another direction, it won’t be long until we feel as though He is moving away from us. My concern is, we are still trying to limit His movement to what we are willing to see about our being together in Him.

WE ARE THE MOVEMENT…

WE ARE THE NEXT WAVE…

WE ARE THE GLORY BRING HOPE…

Note: We are free to worship whenever, wherever and with whomever we choose. We are not obligated to worship with any one expression of the body of Messiah in our locale. Our allegiance is to the King and His domain. Nothing more, nothing less!

WE ARE THE BODY OF MESSIAH….

WE ARE THE EKKLESIA…

WE ARE SONS OF THE KINGDOM…

WE ARE ONE…

Note: All of creation is groaning and travailing for the full manifestation of the sons of Yahweh. It is not waiting for the advent of the second coming of Messiah. Yahshua has, is and will continue to come to those who are the called according to His purpose. We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and prized possession of Yahweh. We are not waiting for Him to return. He is waiting for us to show up, so He can appear.

“Where two or three of you are gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst of you.”

“Fear not little flock, it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom”

Father, we choose by our own free will to be a part of answering your call to unity. We are in agreement with the prayer that Yahshua prayed in John 17 and are answering His prayer in the way we love and relate to one another. We also choose by our own free will to fully embrace the Father’s heart concerning Ephesians 4:3. We are one, and there is one Lord, one faith and one baptism. In other words, Yahshua is Sovereign. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and we have been baptized into the everlasting covenant of the Kingdom. So it is!

AGREE TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER

Philippians 2:1-4 MSG

If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care — then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don’t push your way to the front; don’t sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand. Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself.

Note: There are over 20 references recorded in the Scripture that instruct us to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

John 13:34-35 MEV

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Romans 12:9-16 MEV

Let love be without hypocrisy. Hate what is evil. Cleave to what is good. Be devoted to one another with brotherly love; prefer one another in honor, do not be lazy in diligence, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord, rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer, contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Do not pretend to be wiser than you are.

1 Peter 4:8-11 MEV

Above all things, have unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without complaining. As everyone has received a gift, even so serve one another with it, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone serves, let him serve with the strength that God supplies, so that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

1 John 3:14-17 MEV

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love his brother remains in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him. By this we know the love of God: that He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. Whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, but closes his heart of compassion from him, how can the love of God remain in him?

Note: It does not say put up with or tolerate one another. It does not say get along if we feel like it. It does not say loving one another is optional and contingent upon anything else.

1 John 4:11-16 MEV

Beloved, if God so loved us, we must also love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us. We know that we live in Him, and He in us, because He has given us His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him, and he in God. And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
